Blog Post #14 ; Extra Credit ; 350 Words

Honestly, I am the type of person to eat anything regardless of what it is if I am hungry. I could eat fast food all day every day and never get tired of it. It also helps that no matter what I eat or how much I eat, I never gain any weight but I would also say that your class changed my perspective on eating and eating habits. I learned a lot of information about food that I would have never thought to have learned on my own. I would not say that you "ruined" eating for me, but I would say that you have made a difference in the sense that from now on when I eat, I will be more cautious and try to eat healthier foods. I will also try to stay away from fast food places, after being in your class and watching multiple videos on fast food places such as McDonalds and actually seeing how the foods are cooked and where they come from. After researching my breakfast topic, I will also begin waking up and eating a healthy breakfast because now I know how important it is and why people call it the most important meal of the day. My favorite part about the class was getting to hear about other countries and how they differ from us in terms of traditions, foods, and things like parades and how they go about them. I never really realized how different other countries were from the United States. It was also interesting watching the TED Talk videos on the Chinese foods and how most of the foods that we come to know as Chinese foods in the United States aren't even known in China and are not actually Chinese foods. Overall I would say that I have learned more about eating habits in your class than I have throughout my entire life and I do believe I will take the many lessons learned and put them to use in the future. This class was helpful to me in more ways than I expected it be.
